Associates Releases BIO*GATE 1.3
New Release Supports
Smartcards

13, 2005…JANUS Associates today
announced the release of the latest
version of BIO*GATE. BIO*GATE 1.3
is a biometric authentication and
identity management “middleware”
solution that recently won the prestigious
CQIA award for innovation.
Bio*GATE has been
enhanced to include support for Microsoft
compatible Smartcards. Smartcards
provide tamper-resistant storage of
private keys and other forms of personal
information. BIO*GATE also supports
BioAPI compliant input devices from
Bio-Key, Secugen, Identix and other
leading manufacturers. In addition,
BIO*GATE also supports CDSA, CBEFF
and M1 standards. BIO*GATE version
1.3 also includes the ability to import
and export database symmetric keys
which significantly enhances back-up
capabilities. Configurable desktop
enrollment has been added to BIO*GATE
allowing the system administrator
to enable or disable new user enrollments
during the initial logon sequence
and comprehensive on-screen help is
available within the application.
